Patient Experience

The NHS is committed to supporting providers to give patients safe, high quality and compassionate care and a good experience of care, treatment and support is increasingly being seen as an essential part of an excellent health and social care service, alongside clinical effectiveness and safety.

Our work looks at patient safety and experience from a system perspective, involving staff, carers and patients. We pay attention to the detail, explore innovation that is evidence based and patient-centered, and connect people with shared problems in an atmosphere that generates solutions to their challenges.

Through exploring new ideas, sharing great practice for making care safer and focusing on what matters to patients, we aim to create positive healthcare experiences for all. We work to improve the experience of everyone by allowing the system to learn more about itself and be discussed in an open and honest way.
