SBRI Patient Flow in Acute Care competition: Health Innovation Network Commercial Director Anna King, Dementia Innovation Fellow Dr Amanda Buttery, and Project Manager Katherine Joel were on the panel for the recent Small Business Research Initiatives scheme (SBRI) competition phase one interviews for Patient Flow in Acute Care: Improving use of resources during the patient journey within acute care. Some exciting innovations were presented to the panel, including novel medical devices and software solutions. Funding decisions will be announced soon.
INEBRIA conference: The Health Innovation Network was represented by Clinical Director for Alcohol Professor Paul Wallace and Senior Project Manager Rod Watson at the 13th INEBRIA (International Network on Brief Interventions for Alcohol and Other Drugs) Meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland on 22 – 23 September. The two day conference showcased the latest research findings on brief interventions, with technology and digital approaches to IBA featuring prominently on the programme.
Navigating the NHS Maze – PING Seminar 2016: DigitalHealth.London Programme Director Yinka Makinde and Head of Innovation and Research in Kent, Surrey and Sussex Academic Health Science Network, Robert Berry, recently spoke at the Navigating the NHS Maze – PING Seminar 2016 on navigating the healthcare system, and have some initiatives planned at City Hall, jointly with the South East Health Technologies Alliance (SEHTA), which are coming up soon.
