Tend VR and XR Therapeutics have both made real inroads over the past 12 months, with their solutions being used by NHS Trusts across the country and receiving positive feedback from both users and clinicians.

We hear from founder Chris Thomas who shares insights about the company which uses immersive, virtual and augmented reality technologies to enable people affected by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) safely engage with realistic scenarios and challenges.

SpiritVR Journey, the immersive virtual reality mindfulness programme developed by Mindset Round 1 company Scenegraph Studios, has been evaluated by researchers at Liverpool University as part of an academic study into the use of virtual reality mindfulness as an approach to reducing stress and anxiety.
The results suggest that immersive virtual reality interventions offer a promising approach, with the research concluding that 'the immersive format appeared particularly engaging for individuals who had found traditional mindfulness approaches challenging'.

Innovate UK's Women in Innovation Awards 2025-26
Women founders or co-founders of a UK registered micro, small or medium sized enterprise are invited to apply for a grant of up to £75,000, along with 12 months of bespoke business support, in the latest round of the Women in Innovation Awards.

The closing date is Wednesday 4 February 2026.
Innovate UK Innovation Loans Round 25
This new loan from Innovate UK supports UK registered businesses for close to market innovative projects with strong commercial potential. Micro, small and medium sized enterprises are welcome to apply, but to be eligible their projects must significantly benefit the UK economy and deliver societal benefit.
The closing date for applications is 04 March 2026.
