Innovators guide to Lived Experience Involvement and Engagement

Here in our latest blog, Mariana Bolivar discusses how Lived Experience involvement and engagement is crucial for successful and impactful research and product development in mental health technology.

For the first in our series of company spotlights we are proud to introduce Anagram to you.

Anagram have developed a therapeutic mental health XR solution known as Inside Mental Health. This immersive programme supports a series of mental health issues, including psychosis and the complexities of ADHD. It offers an effective and beneficial tool for building empathy. 
We're delighted to offer a set of learning resources designed to help mental health innovators working in the extended reality space navigate some of the challenges associated with transitioning their concepts and ideas into products and interventions. 

We will be publishing three sets of on-demand learning resources over the coming months, with the first of these on Medical Regulation, designed by Hardian Health, available now.

Further learning resources on clinical evidence and lived experience involvement will be coming soon, and we'll have more details of those in future issues of this newsletter.
We have recently set up a Shared Learning Community on LinkedIn and would love you to join us there.

techUK's Growth Council looking for members

The Growth Council is a group of representatives from companies in techUK's membership who work together to contribute to the strategic leadership and direction of techUK's economic policy. 

There are 15-20 spaces on the Council, and members will be selected by a panel of team members from techUK.  

Applications opened earlier this month and close on 27 September.

Creative Enterprise Business Builder

We Are Creative have introduced the Creative Enterprise Business Builder, a grant initiative designed to support companies who work in moving image for storytelling, spanning film television, games, animation and immersive industries. With grants of up to £2,500, beneficiaries will be able to work with a consultant to build meaningful connections and create opportunities for business growth.

Mental Health Award: Accelerating scalable digital mental health interventions

Wellcome is looking for teams with relevant expertise to evaluate and further develop scalable digital interventions to advance early intervention in depression, anxiety and psychosis.

Health Excellence Through Technology (HETT) Show
London, 24-25 September


Join us at one of health technology's biggest events of the year. Jill Owens from the Mindset-XR team at the Health Innovation Network South London will be speaking about the real world impact of XR technologies on the afternoon of September 24.

Joining Jill on the panel are Ross O' Brien from XR Health Alliance, Matt Hoad-Robson of Tend VR, Sarah Campbell of Play Well for Life and Hannah Brady from Squidsoup

Later that day, Innovate UK's Chris Sawyer will be on a panel to discuss the "evolution or revolution" in digital health and care.

For anyone interested in finding out more about the next round of Mindset funding which opens on 28 October, Jane Guest from Innovate UK will be at HETT on 24 September and will be happy to talk to any innovators who may have questions about applying.
