TIPS (Therapeutic Interactions and Person-centred care Skills) Focus Group

Event details

Date:

August 18

Time:

07:00 pm - 08:30 pm

You are invited to participate in a focus group to inform development of an innovative training programme

St George's and Kingston Hospitals have been working in collaboration with the Health Innovation Network (HIN) and the and the Physiotherapy Pain Association (PPA) to develop a teaching and supervision package, designed to support physiotherapists to build skills and confidence in delivering psychologically informed patient care. The focus of the training is on supporting physiotherapists to develop skills to confidently explore the biopsychosocial needs of people living with persistent pain.

The Health Innovation Network will facilitate the meeting. You will be asked to complete a consent form prior to attending the focus group. On the day, you will be asked to introduce yourself and verbally consent to the meeting to be recorded. This is so we can transcribe comments accurately. All comments will be coded by participant number and be anonymous.

The facilitator will ask you a series of questions. There is no right or wrong answers – what is important is that we capture your views and experiences in relation to the topic discussed. This meeting will be held via Zoom and the invitation link will be sent out to you via email on Tuesday the 11th of August.

You do not need to bring anything to this session. If you have any questions about the event please get in touch with Paige Gladstone at paige.gladstone@nhs.net.
