South London Evaluation Advice Clinic relaunch

September 26, 2025

The South London Evaluation Advice Clinic is set to relaunch in October, following its pilot earlier this year. The clinic offers project teams free, targeted evaluation advice to support their service delivery and connect them to valuable resources.

The Clinic is a collaboration between Health Innovation Network South London, King’s Health Partners teams and NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) South London, working in partnership with South East London Integrated Care Board and NHS South West London Integrated Care Board.

Evaluation is essential to every service improvement initiative. It helps teams learn, adapt, and build evidence for what works for patients and communities in real-world healthcare settings.

The South London Evaluation Advice Clinic provides timely, pragmatic support to help frontline health and care teams plan proportionate evaluations and measure what matters.

Results from the Clinic's initial pilot

An impact report was published in July, sharing the key learning outcomes of the South London Evaluation Clinic's three-month pilot. The pilot was a “proof of concept” conducted from January to May to test a virtual single front door model for evaluation support in South London.

This single front door aimed to offer quick, practical advice to help busy teams plan evaluations and measure what matters. From February to May 2025, a group of partners in south London tested this virtual single front-door model.

The impact report showed that the pilot delivered:

    • Support for 16 projects across south London, covering NHS, voluntary, community and social enterprises, and primary care services.
    • Benefits to evaluation efforts for these projects such as clearer questions, simple logic models, usable outcome measures, and next steps that teams could act on.
    • Strengthened demand for accessible, tailored evaluation support.

Phase Two launch – October 2025

Following the success of the first phase, the clinic is reopening in October 2025.
