Supporting innovators to make a real impact in women’s health
Accelerating FemTech: Evaluate is a 10-week Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst Accelerator that supports UK companies with technologies for women’s health that are already developed but are looking to prove their value.
Funded by Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst and delivered by the Health Innovation Network South London with national partners, it offers tailored support, expert workshops and one-to-one business coaching. The goal is to help companies grow, connect with the right people and plan testing of solutions in real-world healthcare settings, including cost-effectiveness.

Make a real impact in women's health
Building on the Accelerating FemTech programme for early stage companies and recognising the demand for tailored support from innovators at more advanced stages of development, Accelerating FemTech: Evaluate is designed for women’s health innovations with a technology readiness level (TRL) 4 or above. These innovations should have the potential to address current challenges in women's health and other conditions that affect women differently or disproportionally. These innovations will be targeting business to business (B2B) or business to consumer (B2C) women’s health markets.
The programme aims to bridge the gap between visionary women’s health solutions and the complex realities of healthcare markets, enabling growth through tailored support, planning strategic collaboration and a refined pathway for real-world evaluation, such as health economic analyses.
At the heart of Accelerating FemTech: Evaluate is a 10 week programme of learning, networking and collaboration. This includes two in-person residentials (onboarding and mid-programme), a series of virtual webinars, one-to-one sessions with business coaches and mentors, and a final showcase.
Those participants who complete the programme in full will be eligible to apply for a closed call funding opportunity from Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst in Spring 2026 with a focus on real world evaluation including budget impact assessment.

Why Accelerating FemTech: Evaluate?
We have a strong track record of convening national partners to champion innovation in women's health. Between September 2023 and March 2025, our programme delivered two successful cohorts, supporting 33 pioneering solutions. The area of innovation and type of technology ranged from AI-driven menopause support systems to hormone monitoring devices, at-home cervical screening kits and revolutionary maternity training platforms.
Building on the success of Accelerating FemTech 2023–25, it’s clear that sustained support is vital for innovators driving progress in women’s health. Drawing from the most impactful elements of this early-stage accelerator, we've launched Accelerating FemTech: Evaluate, a new Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst Accelerator designed to support innovations at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 and above.
Our commitment is to build on the legacy of Accelerating FemTech by delivering comprehensive support across the entire FemTech innovation lifecycle, empowering transformative breakthroughs that make a real and lasting difference in women’s lives.
