    Aurea is the Local Director of Health Education England (HEE), working across south London. HEE is responsible for improving the quality of healthcare for the people and patients of England through education, training and lifelong development of staff. Working across south London, Aurea and her team aim to provide high quality education and training to all health professionals including the next generation of doctors, dentists and nurses across the area. To do this effectively and to ensure the best possible outcomes and experience for patients and people, HEE South London work closely with local healthcare providers and key stakeholders so that our work is driven by patient needs. HEE SL cover 12 boroughs, 2 medical schools, 3 HEIs and 9 large provider organisations.

    Aurea has worked in the NHS for over 30 years in Human Resource Management, leadership and organisational development, workforce development and planning. Aurea has worked in both acute hospitals and community settings and as provider and commissioner of NHS services. Aurea has held the post of Trust Executive Director and prior to Health Education England Aurea worked for NHS London as Director of Workforce Transformation. Aurea is committed to the development of staff and is a trained leadership coach and mentor.
