Diversifying the First Episode and Rapid Early Intervention for Eating Disorders (FREED) Workforce

The Health Innovation Network South London has collaborated with South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) and Kings College London (KCL) to design and implement a pilot study to test the feasibility of employing people with lived experience in the delivery a of First Episode and Rapid Early Intervention for Eating Disorders (FREED) an early intervention eating disorder service.

The pilot commenced in June 2023 at three FREED NHS sites, Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

We anticipate the evaluation report will be made available at the end of 2024 .
