Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs), like the Health Innovation Network (HIN), have a unique role in bridging industry and the NHS, in order to bring Innovation into the health and care system and to stimulate economic growth. Hence, our work to help industry navigate the NHS not only improves care for people through improving access to new innovations and technology, it creates jobs and drives economic growth.

Our work to accelerate and grow innovations ranges from our Innovation Grants programme to supporting national and regional innovation accelerator programmes including the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator.

The DigitalHealth.London Accelerator helps to speed up the adoption of technology in London’s health and care sector, relieving pressure on services and empowering patients to manage their health.

It works with 20-30 high potential digital health small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) each year, who are ready to scale up from early testing and pilots, and supports them to further develop and deploy digital health solutions to tackle some of the most pressing challenges facing the NHS.
